Level: A2 Elementary Description: 'A Squash and a Squeeze' is a story of an old lady who goes to appreciate the size of her house. She enlists the help of a wise old man, who tells her to take in a succession of animals so that it really is a squash in her house. She finally returns to the old man and he tells her to let all the animals out of her house. She does, she is surprised at how spacious her house now feels... it is no longer a Squash and a Squeeze. To appreciate is to contempt with what you have. Type: Video story
Level: A2 Elementary Description: Tabby McTat is a purrr-fectly happy busker's cat, until one day he falls in love with Sock, a gorgeous green-eyed cat. But when his busker Fred is hurt and taken away to hospital, Tabby can't find him and misses him terribly. Sock soon has three kittens, the littlest with a deafening miaow and powerful purr. When a surprise visit to the zoo makes this wistful lizard realize it can change its shape and size as easily as its color, it ends up wanting to be like all the animals in the zoo at once — with hilarious results. The mouse goes for a walk in the forest and on his way encounters several dangerous animals (a fox, an owl, and a snake). Type: Video story
Level: A2 Elementary Description: A small caterpillar emerges from an egg and begins eating everything in sight. Finally, it is no longer hungry and no longer small. The big, fat caterpillar builds a cocoon around himself and finally emerges as a beautiful butterfly. In fact, what Carle calls the cocoon is really the pupa or chrysalis. Type: Video story
